What’s Happening on Nantucket for the Rest of July 2026

The second half of the month is where Nantucket summer really peaks — a run of touring bands, the island’s biggest design and antiques showcases, and (scroll down) a chance to win tickets to Chicken Box shows all summer long. Here’s what’s still ahead before August.

Live music: where to go this week

These sell out fast, so grab tickets ahead if you’ve got your eye on one.

The Chicken Box (Dave Street) is the one to watch this month — three national touring acts, each booked for two nights back to back:

• The Revivalists — Tuesday, July 14 & Wednesday, July 15 (the 14th is already sold out)
• Ziggy Marley — Tuesday, July 21 & Wednesday, July 22
• The California Honeydrops — Tuesday, July 28 & Wednesday, July 29

Most sets start around 10 p.m. Check thechickenbox.com for the rest of the lineup and ticket links — new names get added often.

The Muse (Surfside Road) has the marquee lineup of the summer:

• Fountains of Wayne — Saturday, July 25
• Mt. Joy — Sunday, July 26 (Team Impact benefit concert)
• The Head and the Heart — Tuesday, July 28 & Wednesday, July 29

The Gaslight (3 North Union Street) pairs dinner with late-night sets around 10:30 p.m. On the books: Fai Laci July 14–15 and West 22nd on July 28, alongside island regulars like Buckle & Shake, Foggy Roots, the Jamie McLean Band, and Doug & Co. in rotation. Karaoke runs Tuesdays.

The Rose & Crown (South Water Street) is the easiest walkable option downtown — live music, DJs, and karaoke seven nights a week, with Local Notes, fronted by Natalie Mack, holding down their weekly residency every Thursday at 10 p.m. (July 16, 23, and 30).

Brotherhood of Thieves (23 Broad Street) runs a nightly acoustic set in the Surf Bar, 8–10 p.m., with a rotating solo act each week: Alec Mac through July 19, Ian Biggs July 21–26, and Lix Kelley taking over July 28 through the start of August. Low-key, no-cover, good for an early-evening drink before you head out.

Cisco Brewers’ Summer Concert Series keeps rolling with sunny, family-friendly afternoon sets: Misty Blues on Saturday, July 25, and Steely Dead on Sunday, July 26.

Sandbar at Jetties Beach doesn’t post a fixed lineup, but it’s a reliable walk-in spot for live sets most weekend afternoons — reggae, classic rock, island tunes — with your feet in the sand and Nantucket Sound as the backdrop. First-come, first-served, 11:30 a.m.–8 p.m. daily.
